It's Been A Great Week!

 

Hello friends and family,

This last week has been awesome. We've been looking through our area book for people who were previously taught, but had stopped meeting with missionaries, and we found a girl named Sadie who looked promising. So we went over and met her, and set up an appointment to come teach. She's awesome, and is super excited to learn more about God. We invited her to church this last Sunday, and she actually came!

We've also been talking to a lady named Mirna and we invited her to church too, and she came with her son, Leo. They both had a great experience and they both look forward to meeting with us more. Mirna's super curious about the temple and wants to be baptized, so that's exciting.

Sacrament meeting was awesome. Until this week, we hadn't gotten anyone to come to church with us, but this week we had three people show up. Fast Sunday is always an interesting one to invite people to, you never know how it's gonna go. But this one was super good, all of our new friends that came had a great experience and can't wait to learn more and come again next week.

Transfers are tomorrow, but my companion and I are both staying in our area for now, though our area is going to be splitting. We helped prepare a new apartment for a new pair of elders who will be coming in. We still don't know exactly what the split is going to look like, but I just hope we don't lose Sadie or Mirna to it. But if we do, I guess we can still work with the other missionaries to make sure they get what they need. They're connected with the ward too now, so I'm sure they'll be taken care of whatever happens.
