Hello friends and family,
It's been a while since I wrote and a lot has happened. About two weeks ago we had transfers and elder Smith left Gainesville and went to train a new missionary in Aubrey. Our areas border each other, but hes in a different zone now so we don't get to see each other often.
I'm also training now here in Gainesville. My new companion is elder Hall. He served a few transfers in the New Mexico Farmington mission before being sent home for health reasons and he's been a service missionary in this mission since then. He just got approved to proselyte in his home mission with the possibility of being sent somewhere else later, and I'm his new trainer.
It's funny, I've trained twice now but both of my trainees have had unusual circumstances. Elder Smith had a different trainer his first transfer and elder Hall has already been trained before.
Elder Hall is doing great, he was worried at first, unsure if he would be able to handle proselyting, but he's already grown a lot and I'm confident he'll do great for the remaining 9 months of his mission.
The work itself continues to move forward. We have several lessons almost every day, and we're being led to find those who are ready to receive us. We had a lesson with a guy named Angel this week. He's really looking for truth, and he came with a lot of questions for us, mostly regarding the restoration and church history. He came looking for light, and we answered his questions to the best of our abilities. We plan on continuing to meet with him and help him find the light he's looking for.
There are many other people we have the pleasure of teaching right now, and they're all progressing at their own pace. Some are pressing forward with confidence, and others are finding their footing, but they're all taking steps towards Christ, whether they realize it or not.
Everyone have a good week!
Elder Mullins
We went on an exchange with the zone leaders at the end of last transfer, elder
Cragun and I got a picture in front of the welcome to Oklahoma sign.
One of our members had these napkins at their house, they were a birthday
present she got this last year.
